EASY ADSENSE HOW TO

For days, I was trying to figure out how to upload Adsense to my blog at blogspot.com. I went to the help forum where I saw others had asked the same question I was asking - How do I get Adsense on my blog? I read the words of 'wisdom' that were given and tried the steps that were given, none of which were helpful because I still did not have ads on my pages. I kept going to Adsense and creating the code, then copying it into my Html and every time the code would change. I then would make the correction to the code in my Html, making sure it was exactly like it should be. After pasting the code into my Html, sometimes all the words in my document would disappear. I got so frustrated that once I looked at the question at the end of the 'help' page where it asks "Was this information helpful?" and I slammed a mark in the No box, turned off my computer and did not visit the blog spot for days.

Then a strange thing happened while I was sleep. Some people say that while you are sleeping your subconscious mind is replaying and analyzing the things that stress you out during the day - or something along those lines. At any rate, I guess the Adsense mystery was driving me a little crazy. I was wondering if it was me, am I really that dumb? Are you really going to let a computer get the best of you? When I woke up it was suddenly clear. I guess my mind processed all the information I had read and came up with it's own conclusion. I went to my computer, turned it on and finally figured out how to add Adsense to my blogs. You would not believe how simple it was. I was following every body's directions and those directions were taking me further and further away from where I needed to be. Maybe they worked for some computers but those directions did not work for my computer.

I have decided to share this with anybody who, like me, could not figure out how AdSense worked and hopefully this will be helpful to you.

1. Open an Adsense account

2. Return to your blogger page and create your blog (save and publish your blog)

3. Return to edit your blog (if you clicked on view blog)

4. Click on Layout

5. Click on 'add a gadget' (you may have to hold down the Ctrl key for the pop-up window)

6. Scroll down to Adsense and click on the plus (+) sign

7. A new window appears where you will pick the type of ad you want. Click

(a) Format (I chose 120 X 600) Vertical Banner

(b) Color (I chose Blend Template)

8. Click 'Save' at the bottom of the page

You will be taken back to the 'Layout page' and a new box called Adsense will be added. Click on View Blog and you will see your blog plus, at last, your Adsense ads. This worked for me and I hope it will work for someone else who is having a problem adding Adsense to their blog. (Note - my browser is Windows Internet Explorer which may make a difference).
